IPA Research Funds

Research Scholarships

The International Protea Association (IPA) represents cut flower and foliage industries based on the family Proteaceae.  This encompasses the genera Adenanthos, Banksia, Conospermum, Grevillea, Hakea, Isopogon, Lamberta, Leucadendron, Leucospermum, Mimetes, Orothamnus, Paranomus, Petrophilia, Protea, Serruria and Telopea.  The Association has a worldwide membership and actively encourages research of the Proteaceae aimed at:

  1. Breeding, selection, evaluation and propagation of superior cultivars.
  2. Disease control.
  3. Post harvest handling.
  4. Nutrition.

Applications close on 20 December 2011. Successful applicants will be notified at the IPA conference in Chile in April 2012, and funding will be available for projects to start in May 2012.
